'Greys Anatomy' season 13 spoilers, rumors: Newcomer Eliza Minnick and Arizona to get together? Callie to return?

Leah Murphy is back ABC

It would seem that the return of Dr. Leah Murphy (Tessa Ferrer) won't have any romantic implications for Dr. Arizona Robbins (Jessica Capshaw) as opposed to early speculations that the two characters will resume their brief affair this season.

The show has introduced a new character — named Eliza Minnick — in the seventh episode of the show's 13th season. Eliza is played by "Scandal" alum Scott Foley's real life wife Marika Dominczyk. Its interesting to note that Foley himself appeared on "Grey's Anatomy" and its spinoff show "Private Practice" as Henry Burton, a patient suffering from von Hippel-Lindau, and briefly became Teddy Altman's (Kim Raver) husband in order to avail of her insurance since he could not afford the medical care needed for his condition.

As the new character was introduced in the last episode, it was noticeable that there was already a natural chemistry between Eliza and Arizona, with the newcomer telling the latter that she noticed her beautiful face.

The newbie also hit it off with Dr. Richard Weber (James Pickens Jr.). The former chief of surgery was impressed with the way she managed a critical case.

Meanwhile, rumors are rife that Dr. Callie Torres (Sara Ramirez) will make a return to the show. While TVLine's Michael Ausiello was not yet able to confirm the rumors, he hinted that "Grey's Anatomy" was going to embark on an episode set aboard a commercial airliner where an emergency erupts. It is still uncertain which character will be on board the plane when the emergency happens, but he did not discount the possibility that it could be Callie given her custody agreement with Arizona.

This would also be a challenging episode for the doctors of Grey-Sloan Memorial after a previous disastrous last plane ride which resulted in Arizona's amputation and Lexie's death (Chyler Leigh). Mark Sloan (Eric Dane), who was also on the plane, died from wounds he sustained when the aircraft crashed.

Meanwhile, in the upcoming episode — entitled "The Room Where it Happens" — a difficult surgery brings back pivotal memories for Meredith (Ellen Pompeo), Richard, Owen (Kevin McKidd), and Stephanie (Jerrika Hinton) as they work together to save a life.
