Although "GTA 6" is still a long way off, ideas are up in the air. Latest whispers about the sixth installment of the "Grand Theft Auto" franchise claim that Rockstar Games is mulling over whether the new location for the game is going to be Portland, Oregon or Houston, Texas. There are other location ideas allegedly being tossed on the table, too. The developers are also reportedly thinking of Los Angeles, New York or Miami for possible places for new heists to take place.

According to redditor m15wallis, there is a high chance that Houston will be the next location for "GTA 6's" high speed car chase video game. The milieu is reportedly perfect since it is a mixture of rich and poor as well as urban and rural that gives rise to interesting stories and side quests. "GTA 6" could feature the Borders of Mexico in Texas that open immense possibilities and side quests like missions involving the drug cartel, trafficking and other social and political issues surrounding the country border. Thus, new storylines can be explored and created with the addition of the new location.

According to an unnamed source "close with Rockstar Games" cited by Master Herald, developers are taking longer than usual since there are a lot of ideas going on. The source said that there are a lot of ideas available for the new game, but nothing is concrete yet. Moreover, the rumors about the game are still scarce.

The "Grand Theft Auto" series started in 1997. Just like the previous "GTA" games, "GTA 6" is expected to be hugely popular due to the cult following of the game series. It will allegedly be released in 2017, which is more than four years since the release of "GTA 5." The game will most likely be available in PlayStation, Xbox and PC platforms. Meanwhile, gamers can enjoy the current "GTA 5" with its high-speed chases.
