Fans are not giving up hope on the fact that "Half Life 3" will be made someday, despite several reports stating that a release for the game will never be announced.

However, more recent reports state a new leak has emerged suggesting that the third game installment could happen, as reported in Neurogadget.

Will game developer Valve push through with "Half Life 3" production?

Rumor has it that the developer will; in fact, the game is reportedly underway. In the same report from Neurogadget, it was mentioned that fans should anticipate an announcement of a new game by the end of this year.

The source of the rumor may have been from the website 4Chan where an unknown user posted an image hinting "Half Life 3."

The person who posted the image broke it down to 2,500 individual images that when put together will uncover a secret about the game. However, the image can no longer be seen as of today since it was removed shortly after being posted.

But the community managed to solve the puzzle before images were taken down and it revealed the image of Dog, a robot from "Half Life 2."

This is surprising news for "Half Life" fans because several previous reports indicated that the chances of having "Half Life 3" are slim and fans were told to stop anticipating for a new game.

Fans could have a reason not to lose hope as it was confirmed in the past by game series writer Marc Laidlaw that the story of "Half Life" will carry on with a creation of a third game, as reported in International Business Times India.

The leaked puzzle should hopefully provide some clues to an impending game installment. Despite speculations about a third Game, Valve has not given its confirmation about any development for a third "Half Life" game.

They have yet to comment about the freshly leaked image.
