Game developer 343 Industries announced that it dropped the beta test for the major update for "Halo: The Master Chief Collection."

In a blog post, the developer explained that the final testing of the content update will be done internally and they will no longer conduct the open beta test as it will only delay the public availability of the patch. Moreover, the developer added some challenges in the update, including an extra series of required updates and rollbacks as a surprise that a beta version will spoil for the waiting fans.

As a consolation, the post ended in a good note and ensured the public of the smoothest game experience. Also, the update will be rolled out as soon as possible.

343 Industries originally said that it will roll out a beta for "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" update since it is a large one meant to put an end to all of the bugs and issues that are found in the game. Then, the developer said that it needs more time to check its stability before it gets rolled out to the public. Moreover, it needs to undergo further testing since it is one of the largest updates of the game and it entails a long list of fixes. The developer added that it is "rethinking" whether or not there is a need for the beta version of the update.

Since its official release in November, the game has been plagued with bugs that were unresolved up to this date. The game developer has been rolling out updates non-stop in attempt to clean out all the bugs.

The forthcoming major fix should dispel all issues as gamers warned the game developer and publisher that they will boycott the upcoming "Halo: Guardians" due to the absence of a concrete patch for "Halo: The Master Chief Collection."
