'Halo Wars 2' news: game will be playable at this month's E3 2016

Developer 343 Industries and Microsoft have been pushing for "Gears of War 4" nonstop. But another game will be featured at the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo 2016, happening this month, and it is "Halo Wars 2."

The developer mentioned bits of information on its upcoming "Halo" game in its blog post for "Halo 5."

It said, "The Halo Wars 2 team is anxiously gearing up for E3, where the game will indeed be playable. There's also – well, I can't talk about more just yet." The blog continued on with its original agenda.

A few days ago, a Twitter user named lifelower posted what seems to be two pieces of "Halo Wars 2" art. The images are identical, and one contains the title of the game, the other does not, and fans immediately noticed several things. First is the Ark is still intact and reminds them of the final battle in "Halo 3," and it suggests that the next game will happen before the third "Halo" game. Second, a pillar-like structure, similar to the towers in The Covenant Mission of the same game, GameRant reported.

Third, the title looks fake, and fourth, the Scarabs are bigger than what the fans know, and last but not the least, several known and unknown vehicles can also be seen. However, fake or not, they do agree on thing: The images are amazing and interesting.

The upcoming game is scheduled to be made available in fall for the Xbox One and Windows 10. The first real-time strategy game of the series was released back in 2009, and it focuses on military combat, resource management and base construction features.

Fans will get to know further information about and see gameplay footage of"Halo Wars 2" at the E3 2016, which is scheduled to take place on June 14 to 16 at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
