The second half of season 2 of the hit series "How to Get Away With Murder" will feature storylines about Emily Sinclair's (Sarah Burns) murder.

Executive producer Pete Nowalk revealed this tidbit to TV Line, stating that it would not be easy for Annalise (Viola Davis) and her Keating Five once the authorities get hold of the case. He said that new information about the Assistant District Attorney's death would be disclosed and that viewers would learn this in the premiere episode. The EP also shared that forensic experts would guest star on the show and will take charge of investigating the murder.

"Still, what I've learned from real law-enforcement people who talk to us is that forensic science is actually very much up to interpretation. Annalise, as a defense attorney, know that creating a mess at the scene is the best strategy. But whether it works or not, we'll find out very quickly," he said.

Season 2B will also see the backstory of Emily, as well as several secrets she was keeping before her tragic demise. Fans will also find out whether or not she was married or engaged to someone. While Emily had appeared several times on the series, not much was known about her, except that she took her job very seriously. She was Annalise's nemesis, as it was her plan to destroy the other lawyer's reputation by revealing that she was responsible for her husband Sam's (Tom Verica) murder.

Meanwhile, Bustle has an interesting theory regarding Asher's (Matt McGorry) visit to the police station during the midseason finale. Nowalk has previously revealed that viewers would finally understand what pushed Asher to do what he did. The website posits that he did not go there voluntarily. Instead, it was Annalise who asked him to confess that it was he who killed Emily. This is reportedly another one of the devious plans she has been hatching in her mind.

"How to Get Away With Murder" season 2 will return on Feb. 11, 2016 at 10 p.m. EST on ABC.
