Nexus 9 Black Friday deals: Amazon offers tablet for $50 less, HTC offers hot discount

Nexus 9 Google website

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are just around the corner but HTC Nexus 9 deals are few and far between. It's not hopeless, however, because Amazon and HTC are giving Nexus fans the chance to get Google's latest tablet at a lower price.

Amazon is offering a $50-discount on the Nexus 9.  Those who are mulling over getting the device may want to check out the discount offered by Amazon as they can pick up the tablet for only $349. Incidentally, it was previously reported that Amazon U.K. has pushed back the shipping date for the tablet to Dec. 15 due to low supply.

Other than Amazon, HTC is also offering the Nexus 9 at a discount.  Holiday shoppers can get the device for only $199 or $200 less than its original price, but this great opportunity happens only for 12 hours, once a week, during HTC's Hot Deals.  Buyers who wish to take advantage of this limited-time promo need to visit HTC's website on a Tuesday, starting at 9 a.m. PST/ 12 p.m. EST.

Surprisingly, deals and discounts on the new Nexus device are scarce, although more deals may yet appear as Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday and Cyber Monday approach.  But for those who wish to purchase the Nexus 9 regardles of price, Google Play Store lists the device for $399 for the 16 GB model while the 32 GB model costs $479 with shipping of 1 to 2 days.

The Google Nexus 9 is equipped with an 8.9-inch IPS LCD display with Quad HD (1536 x 2048) screen resolution, an Nvidia's 64-bit-enabled Tegra K1 chipset with dual-core 2.3 Denver CPU and Kepler DX1 GPU paired with 3 GB RAM, the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, an 8-megapixel back camera with autofocus and LED flash, a 1.6-megapixel front facing camera, stereo speakers with HTC Boomsound, and a 6700 mAh battery. The smartphone also comes with Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, and microUSB 2.0, and is available in 16 GB and 32 GB internal storage options.
