Barely days after speculations said that the HTC One M10 will not be appearing at next month's Mobile World Congress, more supposed details about the upcoming flagship float online. The latest rumors suggest that the One M10 might have two versions, each one with a new processor.

According to GSM Arena, there will be at least two chipset versions for the HTC One M10. Earlier rumors said a Snapdragon processor will power the variant for the U.S. and Europe markets. Meanwhile, the HTC One M10 bound for China and Southeast Asia will reportedly use a MediaTek chipset. Although which MediaTek chipset HTC will be using is unknown, it is expected that it will be as powerful as the new Snapdragon processor.

Should the rumor be proven true, having two versions for the One M10 would dovetail with the speculations of the flagship not appearing next month as HTC would need more time to fine-tune the lineup. Previously, it was rumored that the HTC One M10 will be appearing early this year, and fans expected the device to be launched at Consumer Electronics Show. However, the CES ended without the flagship device making an appearance.

Although fans are setting their sights on the 2016 MWC next month, recent speculations stated that HTC might also choose to delay the One M10's launch, in favor of a company-sponsored press event in March. This would place the two HTC One M10's versions to be released in the market around April.

Meanwhile, it is also unclear if aside from the processors HTC will be changing other specs of the One M10 depending on its chipset. Rumored features of the One M10 include a new and improved 23-MP main camera assembly, a 3,000-mAh battery, an IP6X rating and the new Android 6.0.1 platform layered with HTC's Sense 8.0 UI.
