HTC One Max vs Samsung Galaxy Note 3 specs, features, release date: Branding leaked online; T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon carrying Note 3

 HTC One

The HTC One Max will be releasing soon and the latest buzz surrounding the new phablet-sized version of the HTC One is related to its branding, apparently leaked to the web via Twitter user @evleaks, who posted an image purported to show the logo.

And it looks like while the device is spacious - rumored to carry a 5.9 inch full HD Super LCD3 display - the branding will be understated.

If the photo is true, then it's going to be "HTC One" in a more standard font size alongside "max" in smaller print.

There is no release date on the HTC One Max yet but it's expected to be announced in the next few weeks.

In terms of specs, it's rumored the HTC One Max will have a 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor and an UltraPixel camera.

So how does it size up to the impressive Samsung Galaxy Note 3?  This device, which has been given the thumbs up from the critics, has a 5.7-inch full HD Super AMOLED display, a 2.3GHz quad-core LTE processor, 32GB and 64GB storage options, and 3GB of RAM.

The camera is 13 megapixels and there is a 1.9-megapixel front camera with 1080p/60 video recording, with some models having 4K video.

It also comes with a ramped up 3,200 mAh battery, which can be changed by removing the stylish leather-like back cover.

On the inside, the Air command feature will give users access to functions like the Action Memo and Scrapbook, and a more refined version of the S-Pen will allow them to quickly bring up applications by drawing a box on their screen.

There are currently no launch or pre-order dates from Spring and US Cellular, although both have indicated they will carry the device.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will be out from T-Mobile on October 2, with no pre-ordering available from the carrier.

It is also available for pre-order from AT&T and Verizon, expected to be out on the former on October 1 and for the latter on October 10.

Samsung's JK Shin is expecting the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to go down a storm, predicting sales of over 10 million units.
