Apple is set to hold an event this coming March 2016 and most have probably heard that the Apple Watch 2 and the much awaited 4-inch iPhone 6c are set to be the main stars at the said event.

However, these devices may not be the only ones to be showcased, with reports from 9to5Mac that the iPad Air 3 could make an appearance as well at the event. While that should intensify the anticipation for Apple's new line of products for 2016, expectations may need to be lowered a tad bit.

KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo hints at another potential (and likely reliable) leak tied up with the 9.7-inch Apple tablet and it involves the 3D Touch feature that is present in the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.

Citing production issues, the said iPad Air 3 could be coming out without the said feature in an effort to avoid supply and distribution concerns possibly stemming from production shortage. He said that production is currently at 30% peak level and such is expected to stay until the first quarter of next year.

Although it remains to be seen if the absence of the said feature will affect interest on the said tablet, such could be a small setback. Considering that some folks aren't even aware of the said feature, people who end up getting one may hardly consider it a problem.

Other than that, there is also another factor in the number of apps it would be useful with. Right now, only a handful of apps seem to be tied up to the 3D Touch feature, another point to consider on why such may hardly matter as pointed out by Tech Insider.

Outside of that, it seems that people are curious on the main features the tablet brings. There are some who are hoping for a faster screen interface as well as improved support for the Apple Pencil, among others. Could there be more striking features to look forward to?
