The iPad Mini 5 is yet to be unveiled, and it may already have a strong competitor with the recently released Huawei MediaPad M3. The latter is a more affordable tablet that is designed with the same basic features and specs as Apple's upcoming iPad Mini 5.

As reported by Chip Chick, the MediaPad M3 comes with 32 GB and 64 GB storage and 3 GB RAM. It also comes with a massive 5,100 mAh battery that is guaranteed to last much longer compared to the iPad Mini 5's battery, which is expected to be no larger than 4,000 mAh.

The MediaPad M3 is also equipped with a Hisilicon Kirin 950 processor. The only downside with this choice is that it is not going to be as powerful as the A9 processor which will be found on the iPad Mini 5. This may hint that the latter will be slightly faster and more powerful.

In terms of key features, the MediaPad M3 comes with the latest fingerprint scanner technology, and it also has a split-screen mode to run two different apps simultaneously. Split-screening is quick and easy to do as users only have to long-press the Recent Apps button. Several apps like Facebook, Youtube, and Google Chrome support this feature.

As for the iPad Mini 5, it will come with an advanced 3D Touch and a Retina display. According to Game N Guide, it is also likely to come with an Apple Pen stylus and the new Series 7,000 Aluminum for its metal body. This type of casing will make it thinner and lighter than any previous iPad. This is the same metal body on the iPhone 6s.

Prices may become the determining factor between the two gadgets. Consumers looking for an affordable option will prefer the MediaPad M3 as it currently sells for just $299. The iPad Mini 5, on the other hand, will cost no lower than $450.

It should be important to note, however, that this comparison is still not final as Apple has yet to unveil the iPad Mini 5 and its full specs and features.
