iPhone 6c release date in mid-2016? device to feature four-inch display

 Apple

Those iPhone 7 rumors will have to wait for just a bit, as a different Apple smartphone has been grabbing headlines recently.

The rumored Apple product this time is the iPhone 6c, and as of now, the rumor mill has it pegged for a launch date right around the middle of next year.

Rumors about the iPhone 6c have been around for a while, and the earliest drafts of them had suggested that the iPhone 6c could be in stores as early as this year, according to MacWorld UK.

That was obviously not the case, and for a while, some ardent Apple followers had believed that the company may have simply abandoned the line altogether.

Recent news would seem to contradict that, however, and there is even a belief that the iPhone 6c is already in production, which would make the mid-2016 predictions more plausible.

Still, there is also a belief that if the iPhone 6c does not come out by the middle of next year, there is a chance that it can be changed altogether and even be named the iPhone 7c instead.

As for what people can actually expect from the iPhone 6c, its most eye-catching feature will reportedly be its screen that is expected to only be four inches.

Probably owing to its smaller size, the iPhone 6c is not expected to come equipped with the 3D Touch display when it is officially launched.

Despite it lacking some features, the iPhone 6c is still expected to have Touch ID upon launch, according to NDTV.

The iPhone 6c is also believed to have an enhanced FaceTime HD camera.

People who want to gain a better idea of what the iPhone 6c will be like can reportedly expect it to have many of the same features that are also found in the iPhone 5S.
