"iZombie" is certainly one of The CW's most awaited series, but it seems that fans will need to wait some more as the third season's official release date is yet to be disclosed. After all, it was officially announced that the network decided to delay its release to 2017.

According to News Everyday, the decision was made in an effort to allow the show to strengthen its midseason programming.

However, some "iZombie" fans are indeed still worried about the show's future since some of them think that the second season of the show failed to live up the hype of the first. After all, according to a survey mentioned in the article, the second season had 22 percent fewer viewers compared to the first season, and the big decrease in viewers made fans panic about the cancellation of the show.

Thankfully, The CW gave the show another chance by renewing it for a third season. This could be another reason why the series was delayed since the network is seeing if the change would help increase the show's ratings. However, it is worth noting that if the show does not maintain its depleting fanbase and see a further decrease in viewers, the third season of the "iZombie" show might be its last.

Regardless, according to Game N Guide, a lot of rumors and spoilers are still being shared over the internet despite the controversy surrounding "iZombie."

For example, rumor has it that the showrunner Bob Thomas said that the love life of the main protagonist, Olivia Moore (played by Rose McIver), will be much more fortunate this time. The gossip is basically that her upcoming lover in the third season will not die within its entirety, allowing Liv to have her happily ever after.

The release date of the new season of "iZombie" is not yet confirmed, so stay tuned for more updates.
