Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx are not talking about their romance anytime soon.

For years, Holmes and Foxx have maintained an extremely private relationship despite being spotted together in different occasions. Us Weekly notes the couple actually made a silent pact, agreeing to never speak about their relationship in public.

"Katie and Jamie have an agreement that they'll never talk about their relationship or each other in the press," a source close to Holmes told the media outlet.

News of the alleged agreement comes after Foxx's ESPN interview in mid-February. When he was asked about his romance with Holmes during a sit-down interview, the "Django Unchained" actor stood up and walked out — a clear sign that he does not want to say anything about the "Dawson's Creek" alum.

According to the Holmes insider, the mother of one "appreciated" how Foxx handled the interview. "She felt he was respecting their agreement," added the source.

The "Sleepless" star and his longtime girlfriend celebrated Valentine's Day together last month. Foxx picked up his lady love at her residence, and he was seen carrying a Nike bag and basketball. Holmes was also carrying sneakers for the outing.

Foxx and Holmes first sparked dating rumors when they were spotted dancing with one another in the Hamptons in 2013. It was one year after the "Ocean's 8" star called it quits with Tom Cruise after a six-year marriage. They have mostly spent time together since then, visiting each other's homes in Los Angeles to avoid media attention.

"They are happy, they just don't flaunt anything," an insider told PEOPLE magazine. "Jamie will always go out of his way to stay discreet. That is his way, and it works for him. If they could stay secret forever, Jamie would be happy."
