"Kingdom Hearts 3" ("KH3") is definitely one of the most anticipated games in the past decade. It has been around 13 years since the release of "Kingdom Hearts 2" and the expectations for "KH3" are just getting bigger and bigger. Now that fans are closer to actually getting the game, it looks like it will indeed be as big as everyone hopes it to be.

According to the game's director, Tetsuya Nomura, the game is just huge compared with the previous games in the "Kingdom Hearts" series. "This Kingdom Hearts is a bit different," said Nomura during the D23 in Japan. "One world is equivalent to one [previous] game, and the things to do for each world are vastly different."

Many fans have interpreted it to mean that "KH3" will definitely have a lot of gameplay hours — even more than that of the previous games. He never mentioned which world is actually the equivalent of one game but he does say that there is still one world that has yet to be revealed.

That world, according to GameRant, is actually Nomura's favorite so it would not be surprising if that is the world that is equivalent to one game. There have been new worlds introduced to the series from "Tangled," "Monsters Inc.," "Big Hero 6" and "Toy Story."

While surely there will be new features to be expected in these new worlds, it also interesting to note that Nomura mentions that even the older worlds will have newer gameplay mechanics. This is definitely one way to keep the fans excited for the game. Rightly so as well since everyone has been waiting for this game for many many years.

If there is anything else, this recent news gives fans affirmation that it is definitely coming out this year or just soon, in general, being open to possible delays. The game has been reported to be delayed numerous times in the past so hopefully it arrives as scheduled this time around.
