LG Electronics dropped some hints that it is experimenting on its high-end smartphones and that it is hard at work in making the LG G4 stand out from the crowd of smartphones with almost similar specs and features.

"I don't think we are going to be able to sit back and expect people are just going to fawn over the G4, or whatever the name will be, just because they liked the G3. I don't think it works that way anymore. I don't think people are as loyal on the Android side as they are on the iOS side, so you really have to win every customer with your products," LG's Director of Corporate Communications Ken Hong told Trusted Reviews

Hong also revealed that the company's strategy is to continue moving forward. Thus, consumers can expect a lot from the upcoming flagship smartphone.

Meanwhile, the alleged handset was spotted in benchmark website GeekBench. A device with model number F510L is purported as the forthcoming LG G4. The specs sheet published by the website confirms only some of the rumored features of the smartphone.

According to the listing, the device is powered by the new Snapdragon 810 SoC from Qualcomm. However, the chipset was clocked at 1.55 GHz, which is significantly lower than the reported 1.96 GHz speed of the 14nm processor. It is the same speed of the previous Snapdragon 805 chipset packed in some Android-based devices.

Furthermore, the handset will be shipped with Android 5.0.1 Lollipop OS, although this will be changed if Google will release a newer version of the Android OS.

The specs sheet did not spill a lot of details. Moreover, the numbers are quite disappointing, if truth be told. However, this could be due to a lot of factors. It is also possible that the device is a prototype of the LG G4. At any rate, it is all just speculation until LG announces something official.
