The Los Angeles Clippers and Charlotte Hornets will continue their respective preseason campaigns in China this Sunday as they play against each other at the Shenzhen Universiade Sports Centre.

Lob City is coming off a 9–73 loss in its previous preseason game last Sunday, Oct. 4, against the Toronto Raptors.

Shooting guard J.J. Redick led the way for the Clippers scoring 15 points, also having one rebound and one steal, while All-Star forward Blake Griffin added 14 points, three rebounds, and one assist.

Before the loss to the Raptors, Los Angeles opened its preseason with a 103–96 victory over the Denver Nuggets.

Aside from Griffin, Clippers' franchise players like All-Star point guard Chris Paul and center DeAndre Jordan can also be expected to have significant playing minutes in China.

The Clippers' notable offseason additions like veteran forwards Paul Pierce, Chuck Hayes, and Josh Smith, with center Cole Aldrich, and guard Wesley Johnson will likely also be featured versus Charlotte.

Meanwhile, the Hornets will look to make it three consecutive wins when they play against the Clippers this Sunday.

Buzz City has not lost yet this preseason defeating the Orlando Magic (106–100) and the Miami Heat (90–77) in the first two outings.

In the Hornets' win last Sunday against Miami, point guard Kemba Walker tallied 17 points to lead all scorers for the team.

The Hornets survived the Heat even with All-Star Chris Bosh returning to action for Miami and scoring 14 points to pace the team from South Beach.

Charlotte will be playing against the Clippers without one of the team's best defensive players in forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist who is set to be out for six months following a shoulder surgery earlier this week.

Kidd-Gilchrist suffered a dislocated right shoulder in their win over the Magic and later was revealed to also have suffered a torn labrum.

A player that will surely draw cheers from the crowd is Hornets point guard Jeremy Lin who is the first player in the league of Taiwanese descent.

The game between the Clippers and Hornets, which is the first of a back-to-back between both teams, will be on Sunday, Oct. 11, at 1:30 a.m. EST. To watch via live stream, click here.
