MacBook Air, Pro Black Friday 2014: Where to go on Nov. 28 for best deals?

MacBook Air 2014 in two sizes Apple

The current MacBook Air and MacBook Pro are being offered at a lesser price as Black Friday deals and discounts are now up in several stores.

Best Buy offers the following Black Friday deals to consumers: the 11-inch MacBook Air  (1.4 GHz i5 processor, 4 GB RAM and 128 GB storage) is offered for $120 less and now costs $779.99, while the 13-inch MacBook Air (1.4 GHz i5 processor, 4 GB with 256 GB storage) is discounted by $150 and now costs $1,049.99.

The U.S. retailer also gives a $200 discount for the non-Retina version of MacBook Pro, while the Retina version (2.6 GHz i5 processor, 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage) receives a $150-price cut and now costs $1,349.99.

Meanwhile, Apple offers the 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina (quad-core Intel i7 processor clocked at 2.2 GHz paired with 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB flash memory) for $1,699, down from $1,999. Unfortunately, the refurbished products store does not offer the 13-inch version of the MacBook Pro.

Refurbished units are pre-owned devices taken back to the manufacturer and the battery and back panel were both replaced. Thus, these units are as good as brand new.

The Cupertino-based company is expected to release more discounts as Thanksgiving Day nears, which marks the start of the holiday shopping season.

While retailers are busy offering discounts for the current MacBook Air and MacBook Pro units, new generations of the devices are speculated to arrive soon. The upcoming MacBook Air is rumored to pack a 12-inch Retina display while the next MacBook Pro will allegedly sport a touchscreen screen display. Both laptops are said to upgrade to Intel's new Broadwell chipsets and will have the new USB Type-C port and boast better battery capacity.  The new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro release date is expected to be in the first quarter of next year.  However, Apple has not commented on the rumors yet.
