United will be heading to the match coming off a 3–0 win over Everton in the English Premier League (EPL).

The Red Devils are aiming to capture a win today to create separation since along with them, all the clubs in Group B (CSKA, PSV Eindhoven, and Wolfsburg) have three points.

Man Utd started its Champions League campaign with a 2–1 defeat to PSV Eindhoven before capturing its first victory over Wolfsburg (2–1).

Now, Louis van Gaal aims for his club to win its second consecutive and will go all out. As reported by Manchester Evening News, he will not be resting players when they play against CSKA, even though they will take on Manchester City in their next EPL outing.

"I am not stupid. I won't change too much on Wednesday," Van Gaal said, according to the report regarding his selection of players when they face the Russian side.

However, BBC Sport reported that midfielder Ashley Young, defenders Luke Shaw and Paddy McNair, and striker James Wilson did not travel with the club to Russia because of injuries and health woes.

Meanwhile, CSKA Moscow is on a five-match unbeaten streak and in the club's recent outing defeated Ural 3–2 in the Russian Premier League.

CSKA fell to Wolfsburg 1–0 to start its Champions League campaign before winning its first match in the competition, beating PSV Eindhoven 3–2 in its second match.

Today's hosts have not been defeated in their past 13 matches at home at Arena Khimki, according to Sports Mole, and would be presenting a daunting task to United who has a struggling scoring machine in Wayne Rooney.

The match between Manchester United and CSKA Moscow will be held today, Oct. 21, at 2:45 p.m. EST. To watch via live stream, click here.
