Manny Pacquiao next fight news 2015: Adrien Broner offered April bout by Pacquiao's adviser

Manny Pacquiao has yet to make an announcement on whom he will be fighting for his potential swan song which will be held in April of 2016, and a new name popped up in Adrien Broner.

In a report by Philstar.com, Broner said Pacquiao's adviser Michael Koncz called him and offered him next year's bout.

"I hear they want me to fight Pacquiao next... Michael Koncz actually called me... We waiting to hear from him," Broner said in a video uploaded by FightHype.com

Broner is a four-division champion and has been known to be fighting under the wing of number one pound-for-pound Floyd Mayweather Jr.

The 26-year-old boxer also said in the video that he loves fighting southpaws (Pacquiao's fighting stance) and added that the matchup will be a young rising star taking on an elite Hall of Famer who is leaving the sport.

Broner also expressed readiness to fight and said, "If Pacquiao wants me to be his last fight, then of course I will do it."

The last time Broner was in the ring was back in October when he defeated Khabib Allakhverdiev via technical knockout (TKO) for the vacant World Boxing Organization (WBO) light welterweight title.

Unfortunately, it seems like a Pacquiao-Broner matchup will not be happening as the American is reported to take on Ashley Theophane next.

In a report by Boxing News 24, Mayweather said Broner's next fight is against the 35-year-old boxer from the United Kingdom.

"Yes, Adrien Broner is fighting Ashley. I do my job. My thing is this; for Christmas, I want to make sure all my fighters are able to do for their family and loved ones. That's what is important," Mayweather told the media, according to the report.

If Broner is offered to fight Pacquiao, many expect him to choose it over the bout against Theophane, since a match with the Filipino boxing icon will earn him bigger money.
