Manny Pacquiao next fight news 2015: Announcement of opponent for potential final bout delayed

It seems like Manny Pacquiao needs more time to decide on who will be his opponent when he returns to the ring next year, as the scheduled announcement of his opponent for the bout was cancelled.

Last Friday, Top Rank had a fight card in Puerto Rico which was broadcasted by truTV in the event the name of Pacquiao's next foe should have been named, but it did not happen.

"I was asked to tell you on Bob's behalf that, unfortunately, Top Rank will not have an announcement on truTV as originally planned as Manny is not ready to make a decision on his opponent yet," Top Rank's Fred Sternburg said, according to ESPN.

Pacquiao is set to return to action, possibly for the last time in his career, on April 9 next year and it will be held in Las Vegas.

The former eight-division champion said before that 2016's bout would be the last in his 20-year professional career as he plans to focus on his political ambitions.

Despite not dropping any names yet, the three frontrunners for Pacquiao's potential swan song still remain the same.

Leading the pack is Timothy Bradley Jr. whose name had a late resurgence in the race following an impressive technical knockout win over Brandon Rios last November.

Bradley was also expected to be the one announced Friday since he is a commentator for truTV, but as reported, no name was released since the scheduled unveiling was postponed.

If the 32-year-old American gets chosen, it will be a rubber match between him and Pacquiao, as they both scored a win against each other in their first two meetings.

Following Bradley are the unbeaten Terrence Crawford and British top contender Amir Khan.

Crawford has been reported to be Pacquiao's opponent of choice, according to his adviser Michael Koncz. Khan, on the other hand, was the early leader in the race, but it seems like negotiations are having no progress.

More recently, I’ve enjoyed Christian movies Unsung Hero and Jesus Revolution on limited release in the UK, but it’s rare for such films to make the multiplex chains.
