The "Middle Earth: Shadow of War" release date has been pushed back by another two months. This is according to the game's developer who announced that the original August release date will be scrapped in order to improve the product.

Monolith Productions revealed in a statement that "Shadow of War" is now slated for a worldwide release on Oct. 10.There will also be a different release date for certain countries including Australia, New Zealand, and Japan.

When Warner Bros. announced the sequel to "Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor," it originally had an Aug. 22 release date for North America and Aug. 25 for Europe. The developers announced the reason behind the delay in a post at their official website.

The post reads, "Middle-earth: Shadow of War" expands gameplay in every dimension, including the massive open world, the story, the RPG systems, and personal player stories of the Nemesis System." The post also assures fans that Monolith is committed to delivering the highest quality experience.

"Shadow of War" builds upon the Nemesis system of its predecessor. The system was designed so that the player's actions affected the relationships they formed with enemy leaders over the course of the game.

According to the WB Games, the decision to delay the release has been a difficult one. However, the postponement was necessary to fulfil their promise of delivering a game of the utmost quality.

According to IGN, so far the game is an improvement to its predecessor in every way. With an additional two months of polishing, "Middle-Earth: Shadow of War" is guaranteed to be a top-notch product.

The game is currently in development for the PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One platforms. It will also support Sony's PlayStation 4 Pro and Microsoft's Project Scorpio and will be available as an Xbox Play Anywhere title.
