The "Assassin's Creed" franchise seems to be taking a break since the release of "Assassin's Creed Syndicate" in 2015, but rumors claim that Ubisoft is currently working on another installment for its critically acclaimed action-adventure video game franchise.

Previous reports claimed that the game developer is busy working on a new project that will be called "Assassin's Creed Empire," which will bring the adventures on the streets of Egypt. But WWG recently revealed that anonymous sources from Ubisoft talked to them regarding some of the freshest details about the next "Assassin's Creed" game.

According to the new report, the upcoming game will be called "Assassin's Creed Origins," and it will be unveiled during the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo. (E3) 2017 in June.

The sources also reportedly claim that the next "Assassin's Creed" game will feature a massive open-world experience that will still take place in the ancient Egypt. It is also rumored to center on the story of the original assassin's guild. The game is also expected to have both male and female protagonists.

Also, the game will reportedly allow players to have more freedom in the game, since it is being developed with more importance on exploration compared to the previous installments of the video game franchise. Based on reports, players could even go outside Egypt and travel to faraway places such as Greece using the boats that can sail across the Mediterranean.

Another leak is shared on Reddit, showing an image from an unannounced project from Ubisoft Montreal where a player character bearing a bow and arrow is seen riding a boat. According to a report from Eurogamer, sources confirm that the leaked image is real.

The image also hints about a mission that will be called "Assassinate the Crocodile." It also comes with a text saying "Follow Shadya to Khenut's villa." This means players will have an encounter with an Egyptian queen who lived during the Fifth Dynasty of the Egyptian Empire.

More details about the upcoming "Assassin's Creed" game is expected to be unveiled in the coming days.
