NFL rumors 2016: Von Miller destined for a long-term deal [VIDEO]

Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller stole the thunder from teammate Peyton Manning and Carolina Panthers' Cam Newton at Super Bowl 50, winning the Most Valuable Player (MVP) plum.

Such becomes a rarity since the award was normally dominated and limited to quarterbacks of opposing teams in the Super Bowl. His performance was, however, glaring, highlighted by frustrating Newton no less that allowed the Denver Broncos to win Super Bowl 50 lopsidedly, 24–10.

Miller and the rest of the Broncos are still savoring their Super Bowl triumph, an event wherein they were hardly given a chance due to the steady season the Panthers had been having.

The tables were turned, however, when Miller and the rest of the defensive line focused on the heart and soul of the Panthers machine — Newton. The Panthers quarterback was simply befuddled and never got the Panthers rolling with sacks and stops by Miller and other players like Demarcus Ware.

Moving forward, Miller wants to do it again. He believes they can win another Super Bowl and their underdog triumph is the obvious reason.

Even though nothing has been made official, it is likely that he will be signed up to a long-term contract, according to ESPN. Other than himself, Miller believes the same for his teammates.

That includes DeMarcus Ware whom he expects to return next season.

There is, however, something left hanging and that has to do with the future of quarterback Peyton Manning. He will be turning 40 next month (March 24) but does have one more year left in his contract if he will take it up.

Manning's plans are fuzzy right now, with most speculating about his retirement or continued play.

However, as far as Miller is concerned, he believes Manning will come back. Despite the age, he believes that the veteran quarterback still has the mental and physical ability to go out in the field. He mentioned such when he appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." The video can be viewed below.
