Nintendo NX could make an appearance at E3 in June

Will Nintendo be ready to show off their new NX console at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in June?

Recent rumors surrounding Nintendo's upcoming console have suggested that more details about it are coming sooner rather than later, and the company may opt to reveal the information they have at one of the year's biggest events in gaming.

Rumors also suggest that there's a chance that Nintendo may actually launch their new console at E3.

As some folks may remember, Nintendo announced last year that they would be making more information available about the new console in 2016, although they have yet to do so up to this point.

It's possible that Nintendo may be holding off on releasing anything for now, and that they are just building things up for a grand reveal of the NX that may take place at E3.

Rumors from last year also suggested that production of the new consoles was already underway, so it's possible that Nintendo already has enough of them on standby to make a launch taking place in June at least somewhat plausible.

Still, even if Nintendo may be capable of launching the new console in June, that may not be the best move for them to make.

Nintendo's current generation console, the Wii U, has not performed up to the company's expectations, and with just about 10 million units sold, it may even eventually be regarded as Nintendo's worst-selling console, according to Tech Radar.

With the Wii U being a disappointment, Nintendo has extra incentive to make sure that their next console performs well, and if that is the case, then it may be a better move for the company to hold off on releasing it until they are sure that it is completely ready to go.

If Nintendo opts not to release the NX in June, then a launch in the fall may be more likely, according to Expert Reviews UK.

More news about Nintendo's NX console should be made available in the weeks ahead.
