Even though the Nintendo Switch began with only a handful of available games and sporadic releases of new ones, it has increasingly picked up its pace as more titles are beginning to arrive to the popular console. Recently, the Nintendo Switch Eshop released a whopping 22 new games for the console within a single week.

The busy week for the popular hybrid console occurred from Dec. 5 to 8. The bulk of releases came on Thursday, Dec. 7 with 18 titles getting released on that day. Although the lineup of new releases did not include any major titles, there were still plenty of excellent games included.

At the forefront of the lineup is the professional wrestling fighting game "WWE 2K18." This marks the first time that the franchise has released a title for a Nintendo console. The Nintendo Switch release comes nearly two months after it was released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Mystery adventure puzzle video game "The Sexy Brutale" also arrived to the Nintendo Switch, nearly eight months after it was released to other gaming platforms. Similarly, the fun physics-based puzzle game "Human: Fall Flat" also got its Switch version after the PC version was released last year. Its PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions were released earlier this year.

Other notable titles that arrived to the Nintendo Switch include the side-scrolling adventure game "Embers of Mirrim," the classic shooter "Gunbird," the puzzle-solving platform game "Teslagrad," and the exciting breakdancing game "Floor Kids."

The classic ACA Neo Geo title "Top Hunter: Roddy & Cathy" also made its way to Nintendo's most modern console. This iteration of the side-scrolling game comes to a new generation of video game fans all the way from 1994.

As Nintendo continues to improve the system and add new features to the console, more third-party developers are going to either create games for the Nintendo Switch or port older titles to the console.
