The gaming world is looking forward to next year as 2017 will see the release of the Nintendo Switch, a handheld console that will allow players to play while on the move. Now, it appears that a major gaming studio has taken notice of the Switch's potential, as "The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim" director Todd Howard recently said that he is a fan of Nintendo's new console.

In a recent interview with Glixel, Howard said that he was able to get his hands on the Nintendo Switch at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) earlier this year.

"I love it. I got to play it," said Howard. "I will tell you — well, maybe that's an N.D.A. thing. One of the best demos I've ever seen. Probably the best demo I've ever seen. At E3."

The game director praised Nintendo, saying that the company is "really smart" with what they're doing with the Nintendo Switch.

As for Bethesda partnering with the Switch, Howard said, "We're definitely going to be supporting it. It's the first time we've done something on Nintendo. If you don't count the old NES stuff."

Based on the director's comments, it appears as though "Skyrim" might be one of the games which will be coming to the Switch. When asked if one could bring "Skyrim" on the go, Howard replied, "It's the same game on the TV and on the other screen."

Though Howard has not directly confirmed the "Elder Scrolls" game for the upcoming console, it's likely that Bethesda will bring "Skyrim" to the Nintendo Switch, as well as other franchises such as "Doom" or "Fallout."

Nintendo has yet to announce an official release date for the Nintendo Switch, and it was reported that the console could come in two models at different price points. The cheaper console is said to be priced at around $250, while the other model is said to have more internal storage capacity and is estimated to be priced at around $310.
