A losing streak ended Sunday when the Oklahoma City Thunder finally won after three games beating the Phoenix Suns 124–103 and were led by huge double-double performances from Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.

Before the win over the Suns, Oklahoma City suffered losses to the Houston Rockets (110–105), Toronto Raptors (103–98), and the Chicago Bulls (104–98).

But the Thunder did not let it happen again as former Most Valuable Player (MVP) Durant and All-Star point guard Westbrook took over to prevent extending the streak to four games.

Durant exploded for 32 points; grabbed 11 boards; dished out four assists; and also had three steals in 32 minutes of action.

Westbrook, on the other hand, torched Phoenix with 21 points, also having six rebounds, 13 assists, and four steals.

But it was not just Durant and Westbrook, as the duo also got help from the bench with center Enes Kanter having 21 points and seven rebounds, while guard Dion Waiters added 19 points in the win.

"I thought we were impressive tonight. We did a better job of being aggressive and not letting people come at us, which led to us doing what we do — getting out into transition and getting steals," Westbrook said, according to the Associated Press.

Meanwhile, leading the Suns in the defeat was point guard Eric Bledsoe who also recorded his own double-double performance having 28 points and 11 assists.

Helping him were forwards Markieff Morris and T.J. Warren with fellow playmaker Brandon Knight who scored 19, 17, and 14 points, respectively, in a losing cause.

The win improved the Thunder's record to 4–3 which propelled them to the seventh spot in the Western Conference standings, while the Suns slipped to the 10th spot with a 3–4 record.

Oklahoma City will try to bring the momentum of the win and build a winning streak when it returns to action today, Tuesday, heading to the capital to take on the Washington Wizards at the Verizon Center.

Faith is often accompanied by uncertainty, yet it is in stepping forward that we encounter the power of God. The Israelites learned this at the Jordan River, where God performed a miracle only after they demonstrated obedience.
