The fourth season of the original Netflix series, "Orange Is The New Black" just finished filming and fans are waiting eagerly to once again see their favorite characters at the Litchfield Penitentiary.

The exact release date for season 4 has not been announced yet, but speculations suggest that the series will return in summer of 2016, particularly in June.

Rumors also have it that the upcoming season will be the series' best yet, as reported in Melty, and that's because back in season 3, several new characters or inmates joined the penitentiary. With the introduction of new characters, it is expected that the fourth season will feature more conflict within the prison.

With Stella (Ruby Rose) and Piper (Taylor Schilling) now enemies after the former stole money from the latter, fans will just have to wait to find out how their relationship will turn out in season 4.

It is still not confirmed if Rose will return to reprise her role, but according to a report from Movie Pilot, she will likely make a comeback, considering the Australian actress had won the hearts of many "Orange is the New Black" viewers.

In addition, Stella being sent to maximum security would only mean that she would meet another Litchfield inmate — Nicky (Natasha Lyonne), and writers could focus on developing a story for the two characters.

Stella's return is unconfirmed, but Alex (Laura Prepon) will definitely be back. Prepon's photo recently popped up on "Orange is the New Black's" Instagram page, which only suggests that her character will make a comeback.

The last fans saw of Alex was when she almost met her demise as she had an encounter with one of Kubra's (Eyas Younis) men.

According to MNR Daily, Alex will become more vigilant and prepared than before because now, she has an idea who she's dealing with.

"Orange is the New Black" will return to Netflix sometime in summer 2016.
