The top two clubs of Group A in the Champions League will collide at Parc des Princes as the streaking Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) host Real Madrid today, Wednesday.

They have defeated Guingamp (3–0), Nantes (4–1), Shakhtar Donetsk (3–0), Marseille (2–1), and Bastia (2–0).

Unfortunately for Paris-Saint Germain, goalkeeper Kevin Trapp and defender David Luiz will not be seeing action due to their respective injuries.

But PSG manager Laurent Blanc believes they are prepared for their matchup against Los Blancos, saying, according to the International Business Times, "We'll be playing at home, against one of the best teams in the world, it will be nice. Now we can focus on that match - we're ready."

A victory for PSG will help the club take over the top spot in Group A of the Champions League with nine points and better its chances of reaching farther in the tournament after being eliminated in the quarterfinals for the past three seasons.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid is also on a roll and is coming off a 3–0 victory over Levante in La Liga play.

But Los Blancos will have to play with a depleted lineup due to injuries, with the most notable among those players being midfielder Gareth Bale who sustained a calf injury against Levante.

Nonetheless, Real was already tested when it comes to injury, as the club played against Levante with a number of key players sidelined but still managed to capture a win.

Despite all the setbacks, club star and all-time leading scorer Cristiano Ronaldo will surely be leading the charge for Real Madrid against the French opposition.

The Champions League meeting between Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid will take place today, Oct. 21, at 2:45 p.m. EST. To watch via live stream, click here.
