The third season of Starz Network's Power is all set to premiere on the small screen on the 17th of July. PIX11 confirms that the theme for this season will be 'Ghost must die.' The third season will shift focus from Ghost to Kanan, whom the former has not succeeded in killing.

While Ghost's darker sides may be revealed, fans will simultaneously see the vulnerable and human part of Kanan's psyche. This will undoubtedly change the way viewers think of the two characters, and a classic villain-turns-hero situation may play out.

iDigitalTimes gives an account of how Omari Hardwick, who plays the role of Ghost on the small screen, feels about the future of the character. The actor is of the opinion that during the finale of season 2, Ghost made a lot of unwise decisions.

Prominent among these are what he's done with Tommy, and the danger he put Angela in. However, the redeeming factor is that he's killed Kanan, or so he believes. The actor goes on to reveal that Ghost will be in a general state of panic as the new season begins.

This article on Inquistr reveals that Joseph Sikora, who plays Tommy, disclosed that his character will be seen evolving this season. Also, showrunner Courtney Kemp reportedly spoke to Entertainment Weekly, saying, "A lot of things the show promised in the first season will come to pass in the third season. I want people to go, 'OMG, I can't believe that just happened!"

For fans of the show, more great news is probably on the way. 50 Cent apparently pitched in an idea for a Power movie. In an interview with XXL Mag, Courtney Kemp and 50 Cent teased that if such a movie does come to pass, it would revolve around Kanan's life before he was arrested.
