PS4 stock availability at Walmart Dec. 15; Xbox One stock at BestBuy and Amazon before Christmas

Sony's Playsation 4 and Microsoft's Xbox One can still be purchased in time for the Christmas holidays.

Walmart recently announced that it will be selling a limited number of Playstation 4 consoles at its stores this Sunday, Dec. 15.

The retail giant stated: "On Friday, Dec. 13 at 8:00 a.m., the retailer will drop prices on popular toys, electronics, apparel, table games and other products during its Christmas Countdown Savings Event.

"In addition, two days later, on Sunday, Dec. 15 at 8:00 a.m., Walmart's largest shipment of the PlayStation® 4 (PS4™)– one of the most coveted gifts of the season – will arrive at stores across the country, just in time for Christmas. Walmart.com will also have a limited quantity of PlayStation 4 inventory available while supplies last."

Xbox One

To purchase the latest Xbox One console, be sure to check online retailer Amazon every day, as limited stock availability tend to pop up time to time. Best Buy is also selling the Xbox One consoles, but only with accessory/game bundles.

The Xbox One Bundle with Controller and Xbox One Bundle with Call of Duty: Ghosts for $559.98 respectively. Bundles are also being offered with 12-Month Xbox Live Gold Membership.

Over two million PS4 and Xbox One units have been sold around the world so far. The next-generation console is among the most wanted Christmas gifts this year and availability is scarce.

Pre-orders were sold out and when the device hit shelves last month, customers had flocked to midnight launch events to get their hands on the consoles.

The busiest Christmas shopping days are set to just days before Christmas, between Dec. 20 and Dec. 24, according to ShopperTrak.

Although th year's biggest Black Friday shopping event is over, Walmart is still offering deals on electronic goods. The retailer is selling Apple's iPad Mini with $50 Walmart gift card for $299.

Popular video games such as Call of Duty: Ghosts, Grand Theft Auto V are being offered for under $40.
