'Reign' season 3 spoilers: Francis not safe from death in episode 5?

In last week's episode of "Reign," Francis (Tony Regbo) was able to cheat death with the help of his beloved Mary (Adelaide Kane). The young queen enlisted the help of a witch to bring Francis back to life, but the royals had to pay the price of a life in exchange for the witch's magic. Though Mary offered her own life to save her king, in the end, it was her mother who paid with her life.

After he was revived by the witch, it certainly looks like Francis will get to live, but is he truly safe from death? In this week's episode titled "In the Clearing," Nostradamus (Rossif Sutherland) appears to have visions concerning the king's future, and it looks like Mary will be facing dark times ahead.

Here is the synopsis for "In the Clearing":

"Grateful for a revived Francis, Mary considers signing away her claim to the English throne, and staying in France forever. Catherine (Megan Follows) learns that Nostradamus has returned—with a new vision involving Francis's fate."

In the promo for the episode, Mary, relieved and grateful for Francis's second chance at life, holds him close as they stand and exchange kisses by the seashore.

"We've been given a miraculous second chance," says Mary. "I won't waste it, not another minute."

Nostradamus arrives at the castle and is greeted by Catherine, but the famous seer has an ominous vision regarding the king.

"There are other images I saw concerning Francis's fate," he says. "A flowering tree unlike any I've seen. Strange and dream-like…and then there is blood."

In the clip, an unknown woman in black clutches a bouquet of white flowers, and a tree with white flowers in the middle of a clearing is seen. Mary screams in anguish, and later, she tears down the tapestries from the walls.

Though Francis was able to cheat death last week, will this week see the demise of the king?

"Reign" airs Fridays at 8/7c on The CW.
