In the next episode of "Riverdale," Veronica Lodge's (Camila Mendes) is worried that her boyfriend Archie Andrews (K.J.Apa) may know too much about her family.

The trailer and promotional photos for the upcoming installment, which is titled "The Wicked and the Divne," were just released recently, and they show Veronica seemingly nervous that Andrews may be getting too close to her family's secrets. She goes to her father Hiram's (Mark Consuelos) office and asks him if he is worried at all if Andrews might discover any of their dark secrets. Hiram sits behind his huge office desk and contemplates for a moment. He then stands up and makes a phone call to someone. It seems like he has something shady in mind for her daughter's boyfriend. Veronica is just worried that he may find something about her that might cause a rift between them.

Later, Hiram gets in touch with Andrews and wants him to do something for him. Veronica sees them chatting and asks her dad about their conversation. However, Hiram just leaves her in the dark which causes her to worry. Apparently, Hiram wants Andrews to accompany him to a high-stakes poker game which may probably be illegal. Andrews goes with Hiram and finds himself in the company of his shady inner circle. However, something unexpected happens which causes the game to go awry.

In the last episode, the FBI agent told Andrews that he needed to get closer to Hiram in order to find out if he had any illegal business dealings. Andrews decided to join the wrestling team to find favor with the mysterious businessman. The teenager was able to make the wrestling team and draw closer to Hiram, who was once a star athlete.

"Riverdale" season 2 episode 12 will hit the airwaves on Wednesday, Jan. 31, at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
