Ronda Rousey vs. Holly Holm full video highlights; UFC 193 fight recap

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) 193 was seemingly all about Ronda Rousey and Holly Holm was considered an unknown heading into their bout. Holm was undefeated and was hardly a hyped fighter so the only thing in question with this tiff was how long she could survive.

But peculiarly, there was something different about Holm and even Rousey seemed to be bothered by it in a way. She was so quiet and presumably focused, which no one took notice of. Was she content with just having the opportunity to get into the Octagon with the undefeated champion or was she keeping a low profile to throw Rousey off?

Regardless if she was just plain simple and more concerned with business inside the Octagon, her true talent showed with a shocking second round knockout over Rousey. And just like that, Rousey was sent tumbling back to earth after seemingly at an all-time high.

What went wrong? Did Rousey underestimate the former boxer? Did she come into the fight overconfident?

Whatever it was, it cost Rousey her 12-fight streak and the UFC women's bantamweight championship. On the other side, Holm improved to 10–0 and seemed equally shocked at her feet.

Holm was drawn to tears with her accomplishment, something that previous fighters were unable to do. And for that she was thankful.

So will it signal rematch? Without thinking about it, Holm believes Rousey deserves a rematch, although plans for that have yet to be made official. But from the looks of it, such could probably be set for July 2016 at UFC 200 where Rousey had planned to fight next.

Rousey was obviously humbled by the win but just the same, she has vowed to come back.

The result not only rocked Rousey but perhaps what the UFC originally had scheduled moving forward. And sad to say, there will be major changes moving ahead and it all starts when the two meet again for an obvious sequel to this new UFC rivalry.
