Samsung Galaxy Note 5 specs, features rumors: 4100 mAh battery?

Rumor mills are trying to be as thorough as they can in finding details about the specs and features of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. In turn, word on the street is that the upcoming handset will be juicing up with a hefty 4100 mAh battery.

If so, then this will be a major upgrade from the Note 4's 3220 mAh battery, and that more surprises and improvements are likely being worked up for the handset, which is rumored to be unveiled in September during the IFA in Berlin.

A Chinese website called Zol claims that the device will also come with a Type-C USB 3.1 port, which is slowly becoming prevalent in most top-of-the-line smartphones for its wide range of functions and its fully reversible build that lets users plug it in both directions. This will also allow the Samsung phablet to transfer files at 10Gbps speed and with up to 1000W of power. Premium handsets such as Apple's iPhones utilize the space-age port. Depending on the OEM, users will also enjoy faster charging even with such a massive battery unit with the port.

The website also went on to claim that the device will sport a hulking 2K Super AMOLED display measuring 5.9 inches, much bigger than its predecessor, which has 5.7 inches. Even with a bigger size, it will also be made slimmer, at around 7.9 mm, than the Note 4, which was at 8.5 mm.

Other reports add that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will be powered by an octa-core Exynos 7422 processor, which is a newer unit than the one powering Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge.

What the tech firm will be keeping, though, is the UFS 2.0 Flash memory used in the bestselling Samsung flagships. Android 5.1.1 Lollipop will likely be onboard and an improved S-pen stylus is said to complete the package.
