Samsung Galaxy S5 release date, specs and features: Benchmarks show two variants - SM-GH900H and SM-G900R4

Leaked benchmark tests for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone seemingly confirms the rumored specs and features of Samsung's next-gen flagship phone.

Sammobile reports that AnTuTu benchmarks show two variants of the device: SM-GH900H and SM-G900R4.

The specs of the latter model are nearly identical to those that were previously rumored for the new device. They include a powerful 2.5GH quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB RAM, 16 megapixel camera, 32GB internal storage and a super HD display with 1440x2560 pixels.

However, the first model, SM-GH900H, is expected to be pack weaker specs, much like Apple's iPhone 5C, which was not as high-end as the iPhone 5S, when launched together at the same time last year.

The GH900H model will reportedly launch with a 1.5GH Exynos 5422 processor with ARM Mali-T628 GPU, 2 GB RAM, 16GB internal storage and an HD display.

Both benchmarks support previous claims made by KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who predicted that fans will not see a metal version of the Galaxy S5.

Samsung will be hosting its "Unpacked 5" event at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this month. The exact date and time has not been announced as of yet.

Although the Galaxy S5 has not been launched yet, some websites have already come out with accessories to go with the latest flagship. Check out MobileFun's UK website to see their collection of S5 covers made by Trident.
