Before Monday's 94–84 win over the New York Knicks, the San Antonio Spurs' trio of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginobili reached a milestone in the team's 95–87 victory over the Boston Celtics last Sunday.

The win over the Celtics marked the 541st win for San Antonio's trio, surpassing the trio of Larry Bird, Kevin McHale, and Robert Parish that captured 540 wins while playing for the Celtics.

In the Spurs' win over Boston, guard Manu Ginobili led the trio with 13 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and three steals.

Duncan followed with seven points, nine rebounds, five assists, with one block, while Parker added six points, four rebounds, and one assist.

According to ESPN, the trio of Duncan, Parker, and Ginobili is also leading the National Basketball Association (NBA) in games played in the category.

The trio continues to set the record as they captured their 542nd win after handing New York its second defeat this season last Monday.

In the victory over the Knicks, leading the trio was Duncan who recorded a double-double performance of 16 points and 10 rebounds, with six assists, one steal, and two blocks.

Parker contributed 16 points, one rebound, and three assists, with Ginobili tallying seven points and three assists.

Along with the achievement of the trio, Duncan also reached a milestone in their win over the Knicks as he became the winningest player with one team.

The 39-year-old basketball star captured his 954th win with San Antonio, the most for a player with a single team in the NBA.

Duncan was the top pick by the Spurs in 1997 and since then has helped the franchise win all of its five championships.

The Spurs, who are currently at 3–1 this season, will continue their search for their sixth title when they pay the Washington Wizards a visit at the Verizon Center this Wednesday.
