Seattle Sounders will host Toronto at CenturyLink Field on Saturday night in a big MLS clash that could have implications on this season's eventual standings and playoffs.
The Sounders are looking for a second consecutive victory following a huge 2-1 win in their last Major League Soccer (MLS) match against rivals the Portland Timbers.
Forward Obafemi Martins opened the scoring against Portland netting a goal in the sixth minute of the match which was his third in three matches since returning from injury.
A successful penalty conversion from midfielder Brad Evans late in the first half gave the Rave Green a 2-0 lead and sealed the victory.
The lone goal by the Timbers came from midfielder Jack Jewsbury in the 58th minute of the match.
Seattle had a capacity crowd of 64,358 during the match against the Timbers which according to MLS.com is the 11th-largest single-game attendance in a regular season match and they hope they will have the same support facing Toronto.
The Sounders are currently on the last playoff spot in the Western Conference with 38 points tied with the San Jose Earthquakes.
Meanwhile, Toronto have won back-to-back with the club aiming to make it three straight against the Rave Green.
In their previous two MLS matches, the Reds defeated Orlando City SC (5-0) and the Montreal Impact (2-1).
Toronto will be having the edge heading to the match against Seattle since the club won the last meeting which took place more than a year ago.
Another victory over the Sounders could help the Reds establish their claim as the fourth-seeded club in the Eastern Conference since currently they are tied with New England Revolution with 37 points.
Although the Revs will also be in action Saturday looking to break the tie as well when they play Orlando City.
