For the Nintendo fans who are planning to get hold of the standalone Super Mario Amiibo figurine, you can get hold of one in the next couple of days. In fact, the actual date of release has been announced – April 3, 2015.

This was announced by Nintendo of America via Twitter, which should be welcome news for folks who are eagerly awaiting the Super Mario Amiibo standalone character.

Customers could actually have gotten a Super Mario Amiibo before. However that was only possible if they were willing to get the Mario Party 10 pack which retailed for around $10.

Individual figurines are also up for grabs but only the characters of Luigi, Yoshi, Peach, Bowser, Toad and Gold Mario were available. But all that stands to change on April 3.

Aside from Super Mario Amiibo, Gold Mario is reportedly something that will be restocked in select Wal-Mart stores in the U.S. Gold Mario is something that can actually be picked up from stores situated around Dallas, Phoenix, Las Vegas, New York City, Trenton, Atlanta, Seattle, St. Louis, Miami, and Baltimore among others.

For those who are aching to get the Gold Mario exclusively from Walmart, you may want to check out their store locators from time to time and see if the figurine is already available. Customers can try out the store locator via its product page here. If you are lucky enough to stumble across it, you may want to reserve one and then pick it up later.

So if you don't plan to buy the game but are eagerly interested in getting one of the iconic figurines, chances are you have to keep a close watch on the mentioned retailers, particularly Wal-Mart. There is no telling how much stock of Super Mario Amiibo will be made available hence it would be best to head on over to stores this April 3.
