"Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" is not slated for release until 2017, but reports are also trickling in about possible characters who will be featured in the game.

According to a report by Game N' Guide, Miguel Caballero Rojo from Tekken 6 will be featured in the game based on fan requests.

The site revealed that his storyline may have to do with a mission to avenge the death of his sister. The Spaniard thug may be gunning to face off with Jin Kazama. This confirmation came from Bandai Namco, who made the announcement at the Barcelona Games World event.

It is also rumored that martial arts specialist Lei Wulong will also be included in the game, although this has not been confirmed by the studio as yet. The popular Hong Kong policeman has been part of the franchise since Tekken 2 and would be a great addition to the fresh installment's stacked roster of characters.

If Lei is not included in the official list of playable characters, however, it is expected that he will be included in the first DLCs that the game will release.

In an interview with Bandai Namco game producer Katsuhiro Harada, Lei may not make it to the original list because of low player usage of the character but this does not mean that he will be set aside altogether.

So far, confirmed characters who will appear in "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" include Jin, Kazuya, Heihachi, Hwoarang, Steve Fox, Asuka, Lili, King, Marshall Law, Paul Phoenix, Lee, Nina, Bryan Fury, Feng Wei, Yoshimitsu, Xiaoyu, Dragunov, and Devil Jin.

Also expected to appear in the game are Leo, Lars, Alisa, and Bob. The seventh installment of the "Tekken" franchise will also feature new characters Katarina Alves, Claudio Serafino, and Josie Rizal.

Zafina —another character from "Tekken 6" — will also return in "Tekken 7" reported Parent Herald.
