Elijah (Daniel Gillies) will put his long vampire life at risk by attending a dangerous gathering in the upcoming episode of The CW series "The Originals."

In "A Walk on the Wild Side," Cartermatt reports that in his quest to search for answers, Elijah will brave the gala hosted by The Strix, a covert group of ancient vampires. He wants to find out what his old friend Tristan (guest star Oliver Auckland) is doing at New Orleans and joining the party appears to be the only way to get some information. Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) will accompany him, although she is not invited. Will they get the enlightenment they are seeking?

Meanwhile, Marcel (Charles Michael Davis), who is also attending the shindig, will be approached by a mysterious person. This woman named Aya (guest star Tracy Ifeachor) will offer him a tempting deal he cannot possibly turn down. He will soon find out, however, that there is so much more behind the proposal. His hasty decision may well seal his fate, but can Marcel get out of the situation alive?

Also in episode 4, Lucien (Andrew Lees) will ask Klaus' (Joseph Morgan) help when an important detail of his plans disappears. He and his hybrid father will reportedly join forces to find it. While this alliance is obviously temporary, Klaus may use this to further probe what Lucien's true motives really are in New Orleans. As for Lucien, he may find keeping a dangerous enemy advantageous. Will they manage to find what they are looking for?

Last episode, viewers finally knew how Lucien became the first sired vampire. Gossip and Gab reports that Klaus' progeny was turning out to be a very dangerous foe, as nobody knows what he would do. His father wanted him killed, but Tristan warned Elijah that to kill Lucien meant never finding the only weapon that could kill an original.

"The Originals" airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
