The upcoming episode of "The Originals" will continue to show Freya (Riley Voelkel) acting as the protector of her family. However, will this role put her own life in danger?

The episode, titled "High Water and a Devil's Daughter," may show the oldest Mikaelson sibling fighting for her life as she decides to face a powerful lackey of the Hollow, the demonic force which serves as the main antagonist for this season. What might make the situation worse for her is that through her own efforts, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) may not be able to come to her aid, as her own protection spell will force the two to remain within the compound.

Freya will not just be facing a servant of the Hollow, she will also have to deal with the fact that her brother is being affected by this powerful being. In an interview with Access Hollywood, Voelkel revealed that while her character may not care that much about Marcel, she wants to protect Klaus. She also revealed that Freya will attempt to "cleanse" the corruption brought by the Hollow; however, she admits that the witch does not know just how powerful the being actually is.

To add to the problem, it seems that Vincent (Yusuf Gatewood), who chose to ally himself with the Originals, will nonetheless choose to keep himself from helping the Mikaelsons battle against the Hollow, which is the biggest threat they all are facing now. In an article by CarterMatt, the male witch is reluctant to give his aid because of the dangers associated with performing the ritual. This will force Elijah (Daniel Gillies) to take the matters into his own hands.

Episode 7 of season 4 of "The Originals" will air on May 5, Friday, at 8 pm on The CW. This will be the first episode that Charles Michael Davis, who plays Marcel Gerard, will direct.
