Unfortunately for fans of the show, it seems that "The Vampire Diaries" is running short on happy endings. While Caroline (played by Candice King) and Stefan (played by Paul Wesley) recently got engaged, another couple has gotten together not long after.

Sybil (played by Nathalie Kelley) was able to get inside Damon's (played by Ian Somerhalder) mind and replaced all his memories of Elena (played by Nina Dobrev) with herself. With this, she secured Damon's loyalty, which certainly becomes a big problem in the new episode of the series.

According to the International Business Times, the promotional video for the new episode of "The Vampire Diaries" involves Sybil sending off Damon to murder Bonnie (played by Kat Graham). In the new episode's synopsis, it was said that Bonnie will find herself in the middle of a deadly game where she will be forced to make a hard decision which involves the two most important people in her life. As such, fans are questioning whether or not Damon is the one threatening her loved ones.

It is possible that Enzo (played by Michael Malarkey) and Caroline will be in harm's way since they are the two people Bonnie cares for the most. It could also mean that Damon will interfere with Caroline's wedding plans, and he will most likely pay her a visit while she is shopping for her wedding dress.

Game N Guide supports the possibility as it all seems to point out that trouble is brewing for Stefan and Caroline's upcoming wedding. Sybil, after all, will use Enzo and Damon as her pawns to bring havoc without them ever knowing it was her. The fact that Caroline is reluctant to invite her husband-to-be's brother is suspicious, and this could be a means of causing trouble at the wedding.

"The Vampire Diaries" season 8 episode 3 — titled "You Decided That I Was Worth Saving" — will be aired on Nov. 4.
