'The Witcher 3' DLC rumors: Quest in 'Blood and Wine' expansion pack to have lots of songs and poetry; DLC to be released this month?

The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine - Toussaint CD Projekt Red

"The Witcher 3" by CD Projekt Red is about to receive its second DLC, titled "Blood and Wine." Very little is known so far about the upcoming expansion pack, thus the interview of the Czech translator for the game is a haven of information for fans.

Filip Ženíšek is responsible for translating the game from the English language to Czech, and he was generous enough to answer some questions.

Ženíšek wasn't able to share information about the new characters to be featured in the DLC but shared that one particular quest that he was excited to translate is the one with lots of songs, poetry, short stories and a few more. It was revealed on the Official Czech Facebook page of "The Witcher 3."

He added that he tried to translate everything in the original script, even the jokes, which proved to be really hard.

Fans can expect that the "Blood and Wine" DLC will be featuring mild, honorable, gallant and fairy tale-like language. He added "Wine and Blood" was not that hard to translate compared to the previous "Wild Hunt" and "Heart of Stone."

Ženíšek explained a little about his job in general. He is not directly employed by CD Projekt Red and is rather a localization manager at Comgad, a Czech company. It was also said that, in order to save cost in translation, all materials coming from "The Witcher" series are already translated to the English language, and from there, translated to other languages as deemed necessary. He said that the game is translated to 15 other languages.

Of course, the release date of "The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine" was not forgotten during the interview.

Ženíšek replied, "It's not known yet. I know the release date, but I will pretend I don't know it :-)"

However, Crossmap mentioned that the latest expansion pack is rumored to arrive by April 26.

"The Witcher 3" is now available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC, but no official date was set for its upcoming expansion.
