Last week on "The Young and the Restless," the party at Newman Enterprises turned into a nightmare as a mysterious person dressed as a devil started a fire in the building. Upon learning about the fire, Adam escaped from the hospital to save Chelsea and Connor.

Adam headed for the stairwell, but someone in a red cloak knocked him out. Victor and Billy found him unconscious, and when he came to, Victor told him that this was his last chance to escape. Adam refused to do so and said that he wasn't running. He told Victor to go ahead and he confronted the mysterious figure disguised as the devil—Ian Ward.

Jack and Phyllis were surprised upon seeing Patty at the lounge. She denied setting fire to the place, and when she kissed Jack, Phyllis punched her and told her to keep her hands off her husband.

Meanwhile, Adam and Ian fought until Ian was pinned down by a metal structure. But Ian made it, and when he saw Patty, she said that they can help each other out.

Later, Chelsea, Victor and Paul were stunned when they saw Ashley and Abby emerge with Adam, who is carrying Stitch. They all went to the hospital, and Adam told everyone that Ian started the fire. Victor said that Adam saved Ashley, Abby, and Stitch. But Christine told Adam that he's facing additional charges. Chelsea and Paul confronted her and told her to reconsider in light of recent events, and Christine relented, saying that they won't be transporting Adam tonight.

This week, Billy questions Ashley about what happened between her and Stitch in the building, while Hilary tells Devon that she doesn't have feelings for him. Meanwhile, Michael accuses Christine of being unfair to Adam, while Victor tries to save Adam from being imprisoned.
