Mark Wahlberg has been open about his commitment to doing another "Transformers" movie, but it seems that it won't be enough to assure fans of his return.

Speaking to MTV last year, the "Daddy's Home" actor said he'd be involved in a "couple more" "Transformers" project, but recently he spoke to CinePop to confirm his decision.

During a red carpet event for his upcoming holiday movie, "Daddy's Home," the 44-year-old actor was asked if he will be back for another robot-themed movie. Wahlberg only answered a straightforward "yes," and that should be enough for a confirmation.

While the actor did not reveal further details about the movie, it is expected that the he will reprise his role as Cade Yeager. In the previous movie, "Transformers: Age of Extinction," Wahlberg played the small-town mechanic who discovered a dormant Optimus Prime.

Together with the other Autobots, Cade and his daughter help out to fight the threats brought by the Decepticons.

To date, no other actors have been confirmed to be part of the next "Transformers" installment. It remains to be seen if Wahlberg's onscreen daughter, Nicola Peltz, will also return.

Meanwhile, Wahlberg's comeback would only mean that the movie will stick to having human elements in the movie. However, not a lot of fans are too thrilled about the movie having humans star in it because they want robots to dominate the screen, WeGotItCovered reported.

"Transformers 5" has yet to receive its official title, but IMDB indicated that it will be a 2017 movie.

As for who will direct the movie, there's no confirmation yet but Michael Bay has been rumored to return to take control.

Various reports mentioned that the next "Transformers" movie will be written by Art Marcum and Matt Holloway, who are known for their work on "Iron Man," and Ken Nolan, who penned "Black Hawk Down."
