Video game releases to look out for this January

The year 2018 has come, and millions of gamers are looking forward to new video game releases. Here is a list of the video games to hit stores nationwide this January.

Capcom will welcome the new year with its 2.5D fighting video game "Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition" on Jan. 16. The improved version of the "Street Fighter V" adds new modes, and the entire user interface of the video game has been tweaked. Other than "Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition," another fighting game is scheduled to be released in January.

Bandai Namco is set to release "Dragon Ball FighterZ" on Jan. 26. The FigtherZ edition of the video game franchise brings an original story to the table and a much more complex battle system.

Video game giant Square Enix is also rolling out strong in 2018 with two video game releases. First, the Japanese role-playing video game "Lost Sphear" will debut on Jan. 23. On Jan. 31, the company will launch video game "Dissidia Final Fantasy NT" exclusive for the PlayStation 4. The NT version will introduce the new three-versus-three combat mode in the Dissidia franchise. New characters will also be included in the game such as Noctis from "Final Fantasy XV." An open beta for the video game will be launched on Jan. 12 for Europe and North America gamers.

Also to be released this January is one of the most-anticiapted releases of 2018, Capcom's "Monster Hunter: World." The adventure video game will make its way to gamers' consoles on Jan. 26. Bandai Namco recently released the second beta for the game, and the content received great reviews from fans.

For PlayStation virtual reality gamers, Supermassive Games' psychological horror video game "The Inpatient" will be released on Jan. 23. People can now pre-order the game from PlayStation for $39.99.

The Nintendo Switch-exclusive video game "World to the West" by Rain Games will also bring a new sense of adventure, action, and puzzle experience to gamers. The video game will come out on Jan. 18.
