'Wayward Pines' Season 2 episode 4 spoilers: Xander has returned to the Pines

 FOX

The third episode of the second season suspense and thrilled Fox drama series "Wayward Pines" aired last June 8, with Nurse Pam Pilcher returning after disappearing at the end of the previous season.

Design n Trend reports that she apparently got sent by Higgins to a wayward house far away from the town's center. It revealed how she stole a smallpox vial and injected herself so that she could infect the small town. Her appearance was brief, with her getting killed by Higgins in the middle of a forest. This probably convinces most viewers that this is the last time Melissa Leo will show up in the series.

According to Movie News Guide, the fourth episode will have the viewers find the character Xander Beck standing outside the town of Wayward Pines. This fourth episode, titled "Exit Strategy", will also reveal a new character, a young girl with the name of Lucy. Viewers will also eventually catch up with what happened to Jason from the first season of the series. At the Yedlin's home, Theo will also remember the way he always met up with his father for a drink at 5:30 PM on Thursdays. This episode, "Exit Strategy", will be aired on the Fox Network this June 15.

The promotional trailer for the next episode is already out. The short one-minute feature provides scenes that suggest who else might just die in the next episode. While the previous episode was about the story of Jason and Nurse Pam, we now find out more about the other characters in the story, according to Entertainment Weekly. We may also find out more details about the strange occurrences going on around the small town within this season.

"Wayward Pines" season 2 airs Wednesdays every week at Fox.
