The open world exploration and RPG title "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is so vast that it contains numerous features and expanded content, missions, side quests, and characters. One of the features of the highly-successful open world title is for players to engage in the addictive game of Gwent.

In "The Witcher 3," the objective of the in-game card game is to ensure that the total strength of the remaining cards in Geralt's card deck is greater than that of the opponent's. The different cards from each of the four factions in "The Witcher" world is varied and expanded that they number to almost 150, with each card unique in design and stats. "The Witcher 3" developer CD Projekt Red also continues to expand Gwent's features through added content and free DLC expansion containing new cards and decks.

With the successful launch of "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt," Gwent also became a household name for most RPG players, even comparing it to the popular "Hearthstone" title derived from "World of Warcraft." Gwent became so popular that one app company decided to make a mod based on the card game that can played even outside of "The Witcher 3."

"Tabletop Simulator" is a PC app that lets players make their own tabletop games. One "The Witcher 3" player who goes by the name of Mr.RiZZaH decided to recreate Gwent in the simulator title. He notes on his page, though, that his version of Gwent on "Tabletop Simulator" is a fan project and is not officially endorsed by "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" creator CD Projekt Red.

The Gwent mod is available for a free download through the Steam Workshop. However, in order to activate the mod and play Gwent outside of "The Witcher 3," gamers would need to download the "Tabletop Simulator" game.
